    How de we get fascist resistant city managers who don’t destroy free speech like a hungry bear eating from the public’s scraps? Smilesotheylikeyou

    The public relation pieces have comments enabled but when over five hours of testimony are presented on the subject of the BID they are turned off? Is the city management tired of hearing from their employers? Perhaps we should encourage them to be fired? Censorship is totalitarian tactic. Shame on the City managers. Smilesotheylikeyou

    Why are these meetings comments turned on but those on the BID subject disabled? Censorship are tactics of fascist governments not freedom loving ones! This city council is sickening, to see the council roll their eyes at the mention of constitutional rights (said by the fraternal order of police by the way) is heart breaking and shows that Asheville, like so many other cities in America are under attack by those who hate America and have infiltrated the government from an act locally mentality. Smilesotheylikeyou

    Why are these videos intended to sell an image of Asheville comments enabled but the comments on the council meeting on the BID topic disabled? Is the city affraid of the public’s comments? Smilesotheylikeyou

    If it s a proper running track, it should be 6 laps NOT 5. each lap is 400 meters. 6 times 400 equals 2.4 Km and that is 1.5 Miles

    @ozz3790 Місяць тому

    None of the videos like this one is telling anything about what s a great and/or average amount/time for sit ups/push ups, 1.5 mile run and 300 meters.... weird,,, is it secret ??? :)

    Rush became a symbol of the harm of unjust police action and won a civil settlement from the city. Most recently, though, he has faced arrest. He now has a pending court date for misdemeanor assault and resisting a public officer, one of the same charges brought against him in 2017 before being dismissed. Aka retaliation that's why he was supposed to move but he's poor

    I've known those twins since they were little bitty boys. They were no good then, and they're still no good. Their family lineage can be traced back to Livingston for generations. Why? Because they don't want to lift themselves up. They stand around on the block selling drugs to people cruising thru the projects night after night.

    Missing middle is availability not affordable housing. Developers will make money. Some people will get displaced. More gentrification. Raleigh has had missing middle housing since last year and so far 1 to 2 million townhouses and duplexes for 850 thousand each. City is being sued by neighborhoods . Ban or limit vacation rentals. That would free up housing supply. I read on a website early this year Asheville has highest vacancy house rate and houses on the market for over a year. 16 percent of housing is vacant . Does Asheville need so much more housing? Population is down some to 93 some thousand.

    Missing tree canopy, missing water supply, traffic, missing areas for wildlife, more traffic, high student to teacher ratios, a rigged study that was paid for knowing what the results would already be with our tax dollars - yeah thanks, we know all about the skewed $85,000 "study". Seems like Sage and Vaidila have going off the rails.

    Why is it gentrification is rightfully recognized as bad, and seen as bad because of changing demographics, yet immigration is supposedly positive and not detrimental to local populations despite the fact that it's literally the same effect only worse? I call it immigentrification.

    Excellent examples. I think homeowners fear that "missing middle" means replacing their next-door neighbor's single-family house with a six-plex: an overly-large structure inappropriate for the lot size, featuring only on-street parking, and inviting litter, noise, and short-term renters with no investment in the neighborhood. Demonstrating that modest changes to the building codes could double the number of living units with very little impact to the character of the neighborhood. It would put downward-pressure on housing costs, which is great unless your home's value is your only asset for retirement.
